The historic site at the foot of Jabal ar-Rahmah in Arafat where the Prophet ﷺ positioned his she-camel al-Qaswa among the large rocks during his Farewell Pilgrimage, raising his hands in supplication until sunset.

Visitor tips

The Prophet ﷺ said: 'I stood here, and all of Arafat is a place of standing' (Muslim 1218). Climbing to the peak is not a ritual.
