History and Seerah
The people of the Suffah were the guests of Islam: they had no families, money or anyone to depend on, and the Prophet ﷺ shared with them the gifts he received. Abu Hurairah was among them (Bukhari 6452).
Visitor tips
The mosque has been rebuilt many times, so the platform marks the area, not the exact spot. It is often used for Quran study.
