History and Seerah

Anas described a cloud rising from behind Sal' when the Prophet ﷺ prayed for rain during a Friday khutbah (Bukhari 1013). In the Battle of the Trench (5 AH) the Muslims camped with Sal' behind them, as the books of Seerah report.

Visitor tips

See it from the Seven Mosques; there is no organised climb for visitors.
