Masjid Aisha (al-Tan'eem)

The nearest point outside the Haram boundary. People staying in Makkah enter ihram here for another Umrah.

History and Seerah

Located in Al-Tan'im at the nearest boundary of the Haram (al-Hill), approximately 7 km from the Kaaba. After the Farewell Hajj in 10 AH, the Prophet ﷺ instructed Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr to take his sister, Mother of the Believers Aisha (RA), here to assume Ihram and perform Umrah.
