The Mas'a

The long covered hall between Safa and Marwah, about 450 m, where Sa'i is done on several floors.

History and Seerah

Sa'i follows Hajar's search for water between the two hills (Bukhari 3364). In the valley bottom between them the Prophet ﷺ ran, then walked as he climbed towards Marwah (Muslim 1218). Green lights now mark that stretch.

Visitor tips

Men walk briskly between the green lights; women walk normally all the way. Every floor counts for Sa'i, and there are lanes for wheelchairs and carts.
