Birthplace of the Prophet ﷺ (Makkah Library)

The Makkah Library stands on the site where the Prophet ﷺ is reported to have been born, east of Masjid al-Haram.

History and Seerah

A building in Shi'b Ali (the Banu Hashim quarter) on the spot where, by historical report, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in the Year of the Elephant (around 570 CE). It is now the Makkah Library (Maktabat Makkah al-Mukarramah).
